Terms of use

1. Acceptance

By using Maalem you agree to these terms, the virtual ownership disclaimer and the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Account

You must be at least 18. One account per person, with accurate details. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done through your account.

3. Tagz and top-ups

Tagz are an internal currency for use inside the platform only; they cannot be withdrawn or converted to cash. The price of one TGZ in Egyptian pounds is shown when you top up; it is currently 0.001 EGP per Taj and the platform may change it for new requests. Balance is added after your transfer is reviewed and matched. We reject requests that do not match or look suspicious. Once Tagz are added and used they are not refunded. Free Tagz are granted under platform rules and may be cancelled in case of abuse.

4. Assets and virtual ownership

Each asset has one virtual owner. Ownership is virtual as described in the disclaimer. The platform may suspend an asset, edit its details or withdraw it for legal or regulatory reasons.

5. Declared price and purchases

An owner is bound by the declared price, and any user may buy the asset at that price after the protection period. The platform commission is deducted from the seller. Purchases are final.

6. Upkeep fee

The upkeep fee is deducted periodically from the owner's balance as a percentage of the declared price. If it cannot be deducted, the asset is suspended (its ad space and protection stop), the fees accrue on it and are deducted when it sells; it returns to the platform without compensation if the unpaid fees reach its declared price.

7. Ads and content

You are responsible for your ads and profile content. Unlawful, misleading, abusive or infringing content is prohibited, as is anything related to gambling, prohibited substances, sexual content, or divisive political or religious content. We review ads and may reject or remove them.

8. Prohibited conduct

Creating multiple or fake accounts, manipulating traffic or referrals, and attempting to breach or abuse the platform are prohibited. We may suspend accounts and cancel resulting rewards and transactions.

9. Liability

The platform is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, the value of any asset or the return of any ad. Our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Changes and contact

We may change these terms, fees and commissions, and will publish changes on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Contact: info@standeg.com

11. Dealings between members

The platform does not buy assets from members or take them back for payment. Transfers and swaps between members are made by their own agreement and at their own risk; the platform is not a party to any agreement or consideration arranged outside it, does not guarantee it and does not settle disputes about it, and an accepted transfer is final. Using messages for spam, fraud or to request login details is prohibited; the administration may review reported conversations and suspend offending accounts.

12. The platform's virtual currency

The virtual currency used on the platform is called Tagz (تاجز) and is shown on the site with the symbol TGZ. Tagz are an internal unit of account used only inside the platform to buy virtual assets and pay fees. They are not legal tender or a means of payment outside the platform, cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for cash, and are not a deposit, an investment instrument or a security.

13. No responsibility for financial dealings between members

The platform is not responsible for any financial or material dealings between members, whether on or off the platform, including any amount agreed in return for transferring or swapping an asset. The platform guarantees no right to either party, does not verify or enforce such agreements, does not intervene in disputes arising from them and does not compensate any loss. Each member alone is responsible for their dealings and for checking the other party.
